In one of the most impressive gatherings in modern history, more than 5000 schools attended, boasting around 1 million children, all meditating for world peace at the Phra Shammakaya Temple of Thailand.

Meditation is an unexplored power. Science is starting to understand a few of its benefits, but we have yet to discover its full potential. Some believe that it is a direct form of communication with the Source, or the primary cause of creation which some would refer to as “God.”

What we can say for sure is- our bodies generate electro-magnetic energy from both heart and brain areas, and this works most effectively when we are in a profound state of meditation and inner peace.

We are so caught up in this materialistic physical world that we forget it is a product of the invisible world that we don’t see. At the basic level, as any quantum physicist will say, everything is just energy. This implies we have the energy to influence the entire world where we live since everything is made up of electro magnetic energy and we literally produce this kind of invisible creative power. It’s really quite amazing when one dedicates some deep thought about it.

Interesting fact: Ancient Afghanistan was a actually a Buddhist country.

Inner peace gives birth to outer peace

This world is full of fear, stress, anxiety, materialism, competition and anything that can keep our power to create an improved environment and state of being weak.

That is why meditation is so powerful. It teaches us not only to find the harmonious feeling of inner peace, but also to use our inner potential. We’ve been brainwashed to think we are weak and cannot change the world, but this is not true, we can transform the world as soon as we go within ourselves and make changes there.

The Power of One

Every human has the potential of a Gandhi, a Martin Luther Ruler Jr, etc, but we have been conditioned to believe in limits to the point that we enforce these limits onto our very own minds. The key is to start working on ourselves inside. It generally does not mean we have to just meditate rather than take any actions, but this means that this is where we should start. Without inner peace, we can’t ever bring peace in the outside world.
