Kombucha – “Tea of Immortality”
Kombucha is a healthy drink that is made from Japanese tea fungus – kombucha. Kombucha has been used in Eastern Europe, Russia and Japan several centuries. The very name kombucha originated in Japan since the year 415.
In ancient times kombucha was unknown to all but the royal court and treated as untouchable secret in Japan. Over thousands of years, the Japanese king invited the Chinese emperor. When the tour ended l the kind host wanted to give something very valuable to the respected guest something like present for long memory. Of course it was the kombucha. Thus the Chinese court was brought to the same regime toward gift. But Chinese human king like him to bestow his poor people, so mysterious fungus travel through the Asian continent to the world.
Russia has a long tradition in the use of this healthy beverage, among them called “tea kvass” made by the Japanese fungus.
From Russia, the drink spread in Prussia, Poland, Germany and Denmark but it seems to have disappeared during the Second World War. After the war Dr.Rudolph Skelnar renewed interest in kombucha in Germany, when he started to use in his practice in the treatment of cancer, metabolic disorders, high blood pressure and diabetes.
Kombucha is fungus composed of gelatin and tough fungi membrane in the shape of a flat disk. It lives in a nutrient tincture of tea and sugar, in which is constantly multiplying. Fungi disk first is expanded on the surface of the tea and then deepens. When it is grown in a proper way, it grows and sprouts.
During the process of fermentation and oxidation, the tea fungus acts with various complex reactions. Feeds on sugar in tea and in return produce other valuable substances which are part of kombucha liquid: glycolic and lactic acid, vitamins, amino acids, antibiotic ingredients … This is why this tea fungus is a real small biochemical factory.
What does the combucha contain and how does it act?
Kombucha contains several times more vitamin C than lemon. Since the vitamin B group include: B1, B2, B3, B6 and B12. It contains different types of enzymes. It is particularly important to highlight the presence of lactic – L acid, which in one liter of fluid can reach up to 3 ml.
The most important component, which it is in large quantity in kombucha extract, is glycolic acid. Modern science has not yet managed to synthesize this acid. A healthy liver produces to purify the blood. She also called the “main cleaner” of toxins occurring in the process of metabolism in the human body, as well as harmful substances that enter inside the external environment through food, air, water and others. Trapped toxins are removed irreversibly through bile and intestines, as well as the kidneys and urine in the form of glycosuria.
Under normal conditions glycolic acid secretes healthy liver in sufficient quantities; the problem occurs when our body is burdened with increased amounts of toxins from the external environment. Then our liver fails to produce sufficient amounts of this acid and thus create favorable conditions for the occurrence of cancer and other degenerative diseases
Antibiotic component in kombucha – a liquid is acid enhanced antibiotic and partly antiviral activity.
Why do we use the kombucha?
In the Far East for millennia it is used as effective remedy against fatigue, exhaustion, nervousness, and anti-aging, anti-narrowing of blood vessels, constipation, rheumatism and diabetes.
In Russia kombucha-liquid is consider for effective cure against all diseases, especially against constipation – “Russian secret home remedy”.
In the first book written about kombucha talk about a successful treatment of inflamed tonsils, diseases of internal organs, mainly the inflammation of the stomach, the small and large intestine, against diarrhea, narrowing of blood vessels, high blood pressure, sclerosis, etc.
Lithuanians have attributed great ability for treating of all diseases.
